Los Altos, California sits just 40 miles south of San Francisco in the heart of the Silicon Valley. Los Altos also is not far from the other major cities in Silicon Valley, including San Jose, Mountain View and Los Altos Hills. With such a close proximity to other Bay Area cities, residents can enjoy attractions from the entire area.

Quality of life also is prime asset that Los Altos offers. The city is upscale without losing its small town charm. Parks are plentiful, with playgrounds, sports fields, barbecue pits and picnic areas. Some of the top parks in the city include Marymeade Park and Hillview Community Center and Park. These parks and play areas are enjoyable for the younger set, while teenagers can enjoy the Underground Teen Center at the Civic Center.
